This Is Our Favourite Hack for Hot Chocolate Perfection

Yes, It's Possible To Make Hot Chocolate Even Better

Some people say the best thing about hot chocolate is that it’s hot and it’s chocolate. We’d be crazy to argue either point, but we want to let you in on our little secret – hot chocolate gets even better when you add a scoop of Ben & Jerry’s. It sounds crazy, we know, but so did the idea of putting cookie dough in ice cream, and we all know how that one turned out!

One sip and you’ll agree that putting Ben & Jerry’s in your hot chocolate is a pretty natural thing to do. It’s like adding whipped cream or marshmallows, but it’s even better because it’s ice cream.

We suggest mixing in one generous scoop per 355ml of hot chocolate (or more if you like your drink extra creamy). You can start drinking right away, or wait for the ice cream to melt entirely. We usually try to wait, but our sweet tooth gets the best of us and we dive right into one of these 8 euphorically delicious combinations:

Half Baked

Can’t decide between Cookie Dough and Chocolate Fudge Brownie? We can’t blame you, that’s a real pickle. Half Baked solves it in the most delicious way. (Pickles don’t go with hot chocolate anyway.)

Chocolate Fudge Brownie

Any chocolate lover will tell you that what goes best with chocolate is . . . more chocolate. But chocolate ice cream plus fudgy brownies? Scoop if you dare, chocolate lovers.

Cookie Dough

If cookie dough didn’t go with chocolate, we wouldn’t put chocolatey chunks in the tub. But we do, so you know that cookie dough and chocolate are a match made for your belly.

Phish Food

This flavor packs in gooey marshmallow swirls to help you share in the groove with every sip you take. There’s also the added bonus of watching chocolate fish swim around your loving cup.
